Single disc or double disc arrangements are used to open the furrow. Bearings are pressed into the housing which is riveted or screwed to the disc. The disc assembly is bolted to the machine frame. High loads are encountered in no-till farming and due to angle of pull. Rigid assembly is required for a precise disc mounting which creates a consistent furrow. Dusty and sometimes moist environment.
